Steve Carolo
Steve Carolo joins First Press Productions as the heart of the production department. Steve's career in broadcast journalism began over 30 years ago as a free-lance photographer for many of the San Francisco Bay Area's local news stations. Once established as a dedicated and talented videographer, Steve took on a full-time staff postion with KTVU, Channel 2 in Oakland, California, where his job highlights included filming news, sports and specials for the Channel 2 News.
Steve's creative expertise has been acknowledged more than once by the highest honor in broadcasting, an Emmy award. Steve was awarded an Emmy for both his coverage and documentation of the Oakland Hills Fire Storm in 1991, and his outstanding coverage of the San Francisco 49ers. Steve was nominated for an Emmy three more times in his career, and has also been honored with three San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographer awards for outstanding achievement.
Steve's expertise in digital media, editing and production direction brings a passion and a quality to First Press Productions unmatched by other companies. Steve enjoys life in Napa with his wife, their children and grand-children.
